The Constitution Select Committee, COPAC, is pleased to announce that the process of drafting the new constitution has now been completed. The draft new constitution is now in place and will be availed to the public shortly at a function that will be covered by the media.
COPAC now expects to have convened the Second All Stakeholders’ Conference by the end of August. At this conference we expect Zimbabweans to fully participate in the discussions on this draft which is the outcome of the outreach process.
In the mean time, as part of the activities leading to the Second All Stakeholders’ Conference, public awareness campaigns on the Draft will be carried out by the Select Committee. Members of the public are urged to participate fully in this process
Discussions on the content will commence shortly. COPAC expresses its gratitude to the people of Zimbabwe for their patience and for supporting the important national process.
